With many cities moving to ban gas and charcoal grills on building balconies, there was a growing need for a high performance / high temp grill for the urban market. CHOI worked with Weber to create an electric grill that would break the mold and stay true to the Weber DNA.
Product: Electric grill
Services: Industrial Design, Design Research

The grill was designed with continuous chamfers and striking surface transitions surrounded by polished metal touch points making it feel rugged and heavy duty, since most electric grills on the market lack an aesthetic that still feels like a true outdoor grilling product.

The cook zone was divided into 2 separate areas, allowing for direct and indirect cooking, while the removable control and display was centered around Weber’s new smart probe-thermometer tech, allowing users to remotely check on their food’s temperature throughout the cooking process.
